8 days active cultural trip Luxor - Aswan

An active cultural Egypt trip, including a two-day stay in Luxor (Valley of Kings) and a three-day bike ride from Aswan to Daraw, Kom Ombo and Edfu. Along this magnificent route through the Nile Valley we will visit several temples of the pharaohs time as well as a camel market.
The bike ride, on solid Dutch bikes, is accompanied by local English speaking guides who know the area well. The cycle route is on the West Bank, which is quiet and safe (the main roads are all located on the east bank).
The itinerary begins in the southern Egyptian city of
Aswan and contains a beautiful trip by camel through the desert and also a meal with a Nubian family.

Since the first days of your stay will be in our authentic guesthouse on the West Bank, on the edge of the Nubian villages, you will get a good impression of the daily life of the traditional Nubian population.

During this 8-day trip in Upper Egypt you will not only learn to know the Nubians, who particularly live in Aswan and surroundings, but you will learn about various other populations in Egypt as well, like the Saïdi, who mostly have agricultural businesses along the Nile, in the same way as that happened during the pharaoh times.

Besides the impressive pharaoh culture which you will discover during this trip, you will also get a good impression and definitely enjoy the beautiful and varied nature. The Nile river, the desert and green agricultural fields alternate.

The journey ends in Luxor, where we will visit the world famous pharaoh tombs and temples in the Valley of the Kings, to complete this short Egypt tour.
